Annual events
Our annual events offer opportunities to come together in celebration, reflection, and community. From festive gatherings to empowering ceremonies, these programs create meaningful spaces for us to express ourselves and thrive together year after year.

Welcome Fall Ball
Our annual Welcome Fall Ball kicks off the academic year by bringing together new and returning students, staff, and faculty. It’s a great opportunity to connect with the Women’s Center, explore student organizations, discover campus resources, and build community as the year begins.

Makers’ Markets
We host several Makers’ Markets throughout the year, designed to connect and empower communities across campus. These events feature student vendors, creative activities, photobooths, live music, and performances!
Check out our Love in the Sky Makers’ Market, Trans Out Loud Makers’ Market, and our AA/PI/SWANA Heritage Night Market.

Women’s Award Gala
During Women’s History Month, we host the Women’s Gala Award Ceremony, a special event that celebrates and honors women-identified leaders across UCSC. This event recognizes students, faculty, and staff who have made meaningful contributions to our campus.

Shatter the Stigma
Shatter the Stigma is focused on sexual assault awareness, offering space for both empowerment and healing. Through a rally and restorative activities, we uplift survivors and allies, break the silence, and build a stronger community.

Event Archives
In addition to our annual signature events, we host a wide range of programs throughout the year. From creative activities like collage-making and watercolor painting to supportive spaces for dialogue, connection, and community building—there’s something for everyone at the Women’s Center.
