Womxn's Center Programs 2020-21

Take Back The Night 2021
In honor of sexual assault awareness month, the Womxn's Center and the CARE Office are collaborating on a series of events called Take Back the Night during the week of April 26th-30th.Take Back the Night is an international event with the aim of eradicating sexual, relationship, and domestic violence in all forms. There will be at least one event per day of that week, starting with a Book Talk surrounding Andrea Pino-Silva's book, We Believe You on April 26th. On the second day, April 27th, we will have Andrea Pino-Silva herself deliver a Keynote on healing and everyday activism. The following day is Denim Day, April 28th, a day in which many wear denim or jeans to raise awareness of rape and sexual assault. On the fourth day, April 29th, we will hold a Survivor Share-Out webinar, in which we will present survivors' submissions that we have complied. Lastly to close off the week, there will be a Community Healing Day on April 30th that will start with a Trauma-Informed Yoga session, followed by a Self-Affirmations Workshop, and a Baking in Community session to close off the day.
